Store Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) safely in a cool, dry, ventilated area below 30℃, with humidity under 75%. Keep away from sunlight, heat, and flames. Use alkali-resistant flooring with bunds for spills. Isolate from acids, oxidizers, flammables, metal powders, and food to prevent reactions. Use sealed, corrosion-resistant containers: galvanized steel drums for solids, HDPE barrels for liquids, with "Corrosive Substance" labels. Wear protective gear, inspect containers regularly. Neutralize spills with acetic acid and dispose of per regulations.
KOH is highly corrosive; follow protocols. Wear gloves, goggles, face shields, protective clothing. Work in ventilated areas. Dilute KOH into water with stirring—never add water to KOH. Avoid mixing with acids, oxidizers, metals. Seal containers after use. For contact, rinse with water for 15+ minutes and seek medical help. Dispose waste per local rules.
