Proper storage of Potassium Hydroxide (KOH), a highly corrosive and hygroscopic strong base, is essential for safety and stability. Store solid and liquid KOH in cool, dry, well-ventilated areas below 30℃ with humidity under 75%, away from sunlight, heat, and flames. Floors must be alkali-resistant with leak-proof containment. Isolate KOH from acids, oxidizers, flammables, metals, and food to prevent reactions. Use sealed, corrosion-resistant containers: galvanized steel drums for solids, HDPE barrels for liquids, with clear 'Corrosive Substance' labels. Wear protective gear, inspect containers for leaks. Neutralize spills with dilute acetic acid and dispose properly as per regulations.

Potassium Hydroxide is corrosive; follow strict protocols. Wear full protective gear: gloves, goggles, shields, and impermeable clothing. Ensure ventilation or use a fume hood to avoid inhalation. Dilute KOH into water slowly with stirring—never add water to KOH to prevent heat and splashing. Avoid mixing with acids, oxidizers, metals to prevent reactions. Seal containers after use. If contact occurs, rinse skin/eyes with water for 15+ minutes and seek medical help. Dispose of waste per local regulations.
