Store KOH in a cool, dry, ventilated area below 30℃, humidity under 75%, away from sunlight, heat, and flames. Ensure alkali-resistant floors with leak-proof bunds. Isolate KOH from acids, oxidizers, flammables, metal powders, and food. Use sealed, corrosion-resistant containers: galvanized drums for solids, HDPE barrels for liquids, with "Corrosive Substance" labels. Wear protective gear, inspect containers for leaks. Neutralize spills with acetic acid, dispose per regulations.

KOH is highly corrosive, requiring strict safety protocols. Use full protective gear: chemical-resistant gloves, goggles, face shields, impermeable clothing. Operate in ventilated areas or fume hoods. Dilute KOH into water with stirring, never add water to KOH. Avoid mixing with acids, oxidizers, or metals. Seal containers after use. For contact, rinse with water 15+ minutes, seek medical help. Dispose of waste per regulations.
