Proper storage of Potassium Hydroxide (KOH), a highly corrosive and hygroscopic strong base, is crucial for safety and stability. Store solid and liquid KOH in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse below 30℃ and 75% humidity, away from sunlight, heat, and flames. Ensure an alkali-resistant floor with leak-proof bunds. Keep KOH away from acids, oxidizers, flammables, metal powders, and food to avoid reactions. Use sealed, corrosion-resistant containers: galvanized steel drums for solids, HDPE barrels for liquids, with "Corrosive Substance" labels. Wear protective gear, inspect containers for leaks. For spills, neutralize with dilute acetic acid and dispose per regulations.

Potassium Hydroxide is highly corrosive; follow strict protocols. Wear protective gear: gloves, goggles, face shields, and clothing. Work in a ventilated area or fume hood. Dilute KOH slowly into water with stirring—never add water to KOH due to heat/splashing. Avoid mixing with acids, oxidizers, or metals. Seal containers after use. If contact occurs, rinse skin/eyes with water for 15+ minutes and seek medical help. Dispose of waste per local regulations.
