Proper storage of Potassium Hydroxide (KOH), a highly corrosive and hygroscopic strong base, is essential for safety and stability. Store solid and liquid KOH in a cool, dry, ventilated warehouse with temperatures below 30℃ and humidity under 75%, away from sunlight, heat, and flames. Floors must be alkali-resistant, with bunds for spills. Isolate KOH from acids, oxidizers, flammables, metal powders, and food to prevent reactions. Use sealed, corrosion-resistant containers: galvanized drums for solids and HDPE barrels for liquids, labeled "Corrosive Substance." Wear protective gear during handling, check containers for leaks. Neutralize spills with dilute acetic acid and dispose per regulations.

Potassium Hydroxide is corrosive; follow strict protocols. Wear protective gear: gloves, goggles, face shields, and clothing to avoid contact. Work in a ventilated area or fume hood. Dilute KOH into water with stirring—never add water to KOH to avoid heat and splashing. Avoid mixing with acids, oxidizers, or metals. Seal containers after use. For contact, rinse skin/eyes with water for 15+ minutes and get medical help. Dispose of waste per regulations.
