The floor should resist alkalis and contain spills. Isolate from acids, oxidizers, flammables, metals, and food. Use sealed, corrosion-resistant containers with "Corrosive Substance" labels. Wear protective gear, inspect for leaks. Neutralize spills with dilute acetic acid and dispose of properly.

Handle KOH carefully with protective gear in a ventilated area. Dilute slowly into water—never add water to KOH. Avoid acids, oxidizers, or metals. Seal containers after use. For contact, rinse with water for 15+ minutes and seek help. Dispose of waste per regulations.
