Proper storage of Potassium Hydroxide (KOH), a corrosive and hygroscopic strong base, is vital for safety and stability. Store KOH in a cool, dry, ventilated area below 30℃ and 75% humidity, away from sunlight, heat, and flames. The floor should be alkali-resistant with spill containment. Isolate from acids, oxidizers, flammables, metals, and food to prevent reactions. Use sealed, corrosion-resistant containers: galvanized steel for solids, HDPE for liquids, labeled 'Corrosive Substance.' Wear protective gear during handling, inspect containers for leaks. For spills, neutralize with dilute acetic acid and dispose of per regulations.

Potassium Hydroxide is highly corrosive; follow strict protocols. Wear full protective gear: gloves, goggles, face shields, and impermeable clothing. Work in ventilated spaces or under a fume hood to prevent inhalation. Dilute KOH by slowly adding it to water with stirring—never add water to KOH to avoid heat and splashing. Avoid mixing with acids, oxidizers, or metals. Seal containers after use. For contact, rinse skin/eyes with water for 15+ minutes and seek medical help. Dispose of waste according to local regulations.
