Use alkali-resistant floors and leak-proof bunds. Keep KOH from acids, oxidizers, flammables, metals, and food to prevent hazards. Use sealed, corrosion-resistant containers like galvanized drums for solids and HDPE barrels for liquids, labeled "Corrosive Substance." Wear protective gear, inspect for leaks. For spills, neutralize with dilute acetic acid and dispose per regulations.

Potassium Hydroxide requires strict safety protocols. Wear chemical-resistant gear to avoid contact. Use a ventilated space or fume hood. Dilute KOH into water slowly with stirring—never add water to KOH to prevent heat and splashing. Avoid mixing with acids, oxidizers, metals. Seal containers after use.
