Store Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) in a cool, dry, ventilated area below 30℃ and 75% humidity. Avoid sunlight, heat, and flames. Ensure the floor is alkali-resistant with spill containment. Isolate from acids, oxidizers, flammables, metals, and food to prevent reactions. Use sealed, corrosion-resistant containers: galvanized drums for solids, HDPE barrels for liquids, with "Corrosive Substance" labels. Wear protective gear, check containers for leaks. Neutralize spills with dilute acetic acid and dispose of properly.

Wear protective gear: gloves, goggles, face shields, and clothing to avoid contact with KOH. Work in ventilated areas or under fume hoods to prevent inhalation. Dilute KOH into water with stirring—never add water to KOH. Avoid acids, oxidizers, or metals to prevent reactions. Seal containers after use. For contact, rinse skin/eyes with water for 15+ minutes and get medical help. Dispose of waste per regulations.
